Company Background
The company was initially called Batu Maung Slipway which was established in 1970. It started by repairing oil / fuel barges. By early 1970s, the shipyard begun the repair of Government Patrol Crafts.

Due to the development of Lembaga Kemajuan Ikan Malaysia Kompleks, the shipyard was relocated and expanded to its existing site.

The new shipyard is equipped with seven slipways systems. In the early 1980s, the shipyard was concentrating on the repair of patrol boats. By late 1980s, the shipyard began to build fiberglass and aluminum boats for both the commercial, pleasure and government patrol boats. In the early 1990s, the company built a specialist fiberglass workshop for the construction of fiberglass interceptor boats for the Royal Customs & Excise Department Malaysia. This facility includes the humidity control room necessary for the production of Class approved patrol boats.

In mid 1990s, the company invested in developing another 2.6acres of land that will be suitable for the production of steel and aluminum vessels above 30metres. It is the intention of the company to become specialist in the construction of aluminum vessels for patrol boats, commercial and pleasure boats up to 35metres.
